THE home side could have won by a far bigger margin but for a super goalkeeping display by the Aghadowey net-minder.

Striker Mark Hamilton was the first to test the visitors' keeper, but his goal bound drive was tipped around the post by a full stretched keeper, soon after Jason Hay also drew a fine save when his close range header was turned over.

The impressive Stevie Mooney broke of the Aghadowey defence, but his cross found Hamilton who brought out another double save by the visitors' keeper, while left-winger Lee Laverty was also denied by the keeper.

Thankfully for the home side they finally broke the deadlock on 25 minutes when both wingers were involved in the thick of the action, Laverty's centre to the back post found an unmarked Mooney, who headed home.

The visitors tried to push a bit further up field to level things up but Lincoln's back four of Thomas, McIntyre, Street and Cooke let very little get by them.

Richard Adams came close to doubling the score after Mooney's great run and pass found the midfielder unmarked in the box, his shot just shaved the upright.

It was just a matter of time before the second goal came as Lincoln's dominance was proving too much for the visitors but not before the big keeper denied Laverty, Hamilton and Hay.

Midfielder Gordon Murray rattled the crossbar with a header from a Scott Thomas cross before Hamilton eventually doubled the lead after he fired home after Mooney had picked him out, just before half-time.
