If you’re going on holiday to Benidorm you’ll have to book a spot on the beach in advance - here’s how it works
UK tourists in Benidorm may find going to the beach a little different from usual over the upcoming months, as sunseekers will have to book their spot on the sand.
Friday 17 July will be the first day that those visiting the beach at the resort will need to have pre-booked before arriving.

Holidaymakers will have to book their place at the beach, but this currently only applies to Levante beach - one of Benidorm’s two most popular beaches
Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Perez, confirmed the much-anticipated high-tech system would go live at noon on Thursday 16 July, after the beach recently came close to reaching maximum capacity.
Although the new system was announced in June, it was not then implemented due to the lack of holidaymakers.
Mr Perez said, “People will be able to book their spot on the beach for the following day so this Friday will be the first day beachgoers will have had to use the system to be able to access the beach.
