Deaths in the community
The death took place, in his 99th year, of John William (Johnny) Bateman, late of Windsor Avenue, Lurgan, on December 25.
He was the husband of the late Violet and father of Betty, William and the late Freda and Jacqueline, father-in-law of David, Sharon and Barry, and a much-loved grandfather and great-grandfather.

Hide AdThe funeral service took place on Monday, December 29 at 12noon in Shankill Parish Church followed by interment in Moira Parish Churchyard.
Joseph (Joe) Burns
The death took place on December 27 of Joseph (Joe) Burns formerly of Arthur Street, Lurgan and London.
He was the father of Ann and Eileen and uncle of Kathleen and Jess.
His funeral took place in Kiltimath.
Carol Douglas
The death took place on January 2, peacefully at Mahon Hall, of Carol Douglas, late of Deans Road, Bleary.

Her funeral service was in Knocknamuckley Parish Church on Monday followed by interment in adjoining churchyard.

The death took place on January 3, peacefully at Aughnacloy House, of Frank (Francis) Kelly of Ashdene Park, Taghnevan.

She was the wife of Gordon, daughter of James and Rose Canning, sister of Charles, Michael and the late Stephen.

On January 4 the death took place peacefully at hospital of Trevor Coffey, late of 1 Kiddswell Road, Donaghcloney.
He was the husband of Vivien and father of Wesley and Elizabeth.
His funeral service was in Waringstown Presbyterian Church on Wednesday followed by interment in adjoining burying ground.
